The self professed "Most Powerful Woman in America" is throwing a hissy fit.
Seems she has the attitude "It my way or the Highway"!
But at least the voters get to see how wrong a choice she was for Speaker.

The first thing Ms. Pelosi did when they selected her as Speaker was to raise the gavel over her head and state 'I am the most powerful woman in America"...that should have raised many a red flag, right then and there.
Since then she has not fulfilled many promises to the voters who gave the House to the Dems.. Has lost on many bills she tried to push thru, has increased spending, has NOT cleaned up Congress ethics wise,as a matter of fact, she put a couple of criminals in key committee leadership roles.
Now she intends to keep the minoriy party off the floor, and refuse them the right to examine bills and offer amendments,by changing rules that have been in place for hundreds of years. |

The Socialist Candidate???
Sure sounds like it to me.
I believe I read where during her college days she exhibited Marxist leanings.
I think as this extra long campaign moves forward, she will show enough of her true agenda to hang herself.

SNIP:
We Are All in It Together, Clinton Says
Tuesday May 29, 12:11 pm ET
By Holly Ramer, Associated Press Writer
Clinton: Shared Prosperity Should Replace 'On Your Own' Society
MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) -- Presidential hopeful Hillary Rodham Clinton outlined a broad economic vision Tuesday, saying it's time to replace an "on your own" society with one based on shared responsibility and prosperity.
The Democratic senator said what the Bush administration touts as an "ownership society" really is an "on your own" society that has widened the gap between rich and poor.
"I prefer a 'we're all in it together' society," she said. "I believe our government can once again work for all Americans. It can promote the great American tradition of opportunity for all and special privileges for none."

Week-End Links
RWN returns on Monday. Until then, enjoy the links below, have a great week-end, and make sure to go to the end of this post so you can contact your Senators. When these clowns get back from their Memorial Day break on Monday, let's make sure that they have plenty of reminders (emails, voice mails, faxes) waiting for them so that they will realize that the intensity hasn't died down while they were away.
Contact Your Senators!
Pick up that phone, write that email, send that fax http://www.numbersusa.com/faxcenter -- heck, do all three if you're so inclined.
But, whom do you contact?
#1) If you have a Republican senator, pick up the phone and call him or her. You can get the numbers and/or email addresses of your home state senators : http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm
#2) Call the National Republican Senatorial Committee at (202) 675-6000 and let them know that you will not support the reelection of any senator in 2008 who votes for the amnesty bill in the Senate.
#3) Call the Republican National Committee at (202) 863-8500 (option 1) and let them know you will not support any candidate in 2008 who votes for the amnesty bill in the Senate (Incidentally, a lot of you must be doing this already because when I called about 10 minutes ago, the mailbox was full.)
Again, if you don't want to call them, email them or fax them. But also remember to be POLITE, but firm.

FYI...Congress as of today has a 14% approval rating...lol
Thats lower than the POTUS.
The Majority party never learns...the Dems. have always relied on the voters having short memories.
Not this time...they are remembering all those unkept promises. _________________ "Calling an illegal alien, an "undocumented immigrant", is like calling a drug dealer, an "unlicensed pharmacist " |

As always with Homer, you gotta check things out beore you believe him. Have no idea where you got that number. The latest polls are as usul more or less than 25 % disapproval.
The link: http://www.pollingreport.com/CongJob.htm
Not a good number, but do people ever approve of Congress? It's not like the presidency where the numbers differ a lot over the years, depending on who's president and the state of the union. Or am I wrong? If so, show me data. _________________ "Why does everyone think I'm paranoid? Do you discuss this behind my back?" |

POLL: Gallup Congressional Confidence
Additional analysis from a recent Gallup national survey of 1,007 adults (conducted 6/11 through 6/14) finds "[t]he percentage of Americans with a "great deal" or "quite a lot" of confidence in Congress is at 14%, the lowest in Gallup's history of this measure -- and the lowest of any of the 16 institutions tested in this year's Confidence in Institutions survey. It is also one of the lowest confidence ratings for any institution tested over the last three decades." _________________ "Calling an illegal alien, an "undocumented immigrant", is like calling a drug dealer, an "unlicensed pharmacist " |

Strange, because our different links show different numbers for Gallup. I guess mine is false.
Anyway, your link was interesting. It did prove what I wrote before. Gallup shows the height of approval of Congress as 40 %, which was in 1973. People never approve much of Congress. It's not like the presidency, which can differ a lot. Just ask Dubya who once had an 84 % approval rating.
Also interesting what that person wrote in a comment, that people are more unhappy with the way Republicans block Democrats than the actual Democratic leadership and that Gallup never asks about that in detail. Don't know if it's true, but I hardly think Nancy Pelosi plays as much a part in people's minds as she does in Homer's. _________________ "Why does everyone think I'm paranoid? I think we all have learned that polls can be mileading, but most people jump on the ones that have results they favor.
If Gallop broke it down and asked which party in congress were you most disappointed in,it could very well be the Republicans who are pulling the approval percentages down. _________________ "Calling an illegal alien, an "undocumented immigrant", is like calling a drug dealer, an "unlicensed pharmacist " |

Homer, why don't you start your own Pelosi STOCKADE! Only you have come up with actual malfeasance and misdeeds. Not conjecture. Like her trip to the Middle-East would qualify.
And Stefan I am quite certain you could find a Republican that is corrupt enough to warrant a thread of his very own. All you have to do is a little research. Or don't you "Journalists" do that anymore? But keep your grubby little mits off of Ted Stevens. He belongs to me.
I say we start getting them all. Maybe we could start a website exposing them, regardless of political affiliation. Just nailing them all, left and right. People could come and click on a politician and BAM, his or her whole dirty little history. Bastards. _________________

Politicians don't care how they get it,or where they send it,they just want your tax dollars to send to their home state.
And the thing that irks me is that even when fraud,or underhandedness is exposed,it makes no difference to this newly elected "We will end corruption" ...we will make earmarks more transparent" Democratic Majority.
They just vote for it regardless..

If you listened to the Democratic Presidential Candidates during the guestion and answer periods they had last week conducted by the Gay Organizations, the average viewr would get the impression that they felt gay was ok...acceptable .
Then how come when then want to smear someone the Democrats suggest he/she may be Gay? Hmmmm!

Hold onto your wallet!
The key words here are "at this point"!

Clinton has no answers for undocumented immigrants
DES MOINES, Iowa (CNN) — At a press briefing after Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's health care rollout Monday, senior policy advisers said the New York senator's plan does not currently include any details on whether illegal immigrants will be covered.
Senior policy adviser Laurie Rubiner–while acknowledging that undocumented immigrants are a "huge issue" in this country–said, "That's one we're going to have to think through a little bit."
"We have not dealt with every single detail with this plan," Rubiner continued.
When asked if it would be safe to assume that the Democratic frontrunner, at this point, has no position on coverage for illegal immigrants advisers answered "yes" and said the plan does not "at this point" deal with that issue.

Illegal immigrant coverage is a legit question if Hill's plan had any hope of success. I don't mind this brand of socialism, but I would exclude illegals. Moot issue, however, 'cause universal health care ain't gonna happen.

12+ million illegal immigrants but Hillary, the supposed democrat, doesn't have an answer??
Sounds like she has the same idea on Iraq, homeland security, the economy, etc…. she hasn't thought about it.
About the only thing she HAS thought about is getting campaign contributions and buying endorsements.
Go Hillary - Republicans can hardly wait!

I believe they could have answered the question better, the fact is that first things first, I'm still reviewing her porposal, I believe it is well thought out and it does provide a viable solution with fiscal responsibility. I believe that Illegal immigrants should have access to compassionate care, however not the kind of care that requires hospital access without proper pay. we cannot be that harsh to human beings… so I agree with the notion that first we have to deal with this very important program and if successful we can tackle the next… I believe her strategy is solid, however it was not expressed in the best way possible as to aviod the critics that only look for opportunities to attack. I would urge everyone to go to her web-site and download the summary of her plan… she is a very intelligent person and it is worth reading.

Illegals can receive compassionate care…BACK IN THEIR HOME COUNTRY
I'm not paying one cent of my taxes to provide routine care for someone who is here illegally and isn't even a taxpayer. And besides, if an illegal goes to the emergency room and requires urgent care they can not be turned away (that is compassionate isn't it).
Every one who wants to include illegals in a government run health care plan can fund it with their tax dollars…not me
