Damn it seems its been a long time coming,or is it just me?

Never been much of a fan of Baseball or Basketball.

I prefer Hockey and Football.

Well the Eagles look like crap in the pre-season,but thats not unusual.

They let Trotter go,which hissed a lot of long time fans off...I am sure they will hear about it from us (boo-birds) if Gaither does not live up to expectations.

They have more cuts to make by 6pm tonight.

Rumor has it that The Freak ,Kearse will go next...his knee keeps swelling up.

Two bright spots on offense that I see.

The 3rd string QB Kolb was very impressive, especially on the 2 minute drill.

And that guy Bloom,on returns and sometime wide receiver was outstanding IMO,but he is 4th string.

The new punter from Australia was good,he used to be a Rugby player.

He kicks end over end,for about a 50 yard average, and gets it inside the 10 yd. line most of the time.

Only caught a small part of the Pats game last week, but they looked pretty darn good while I was tuned in.

What say you Maine?
Trot is said to be working out with the Broncos and Tampa Bay.

With our luck he will wind up with the Giants or Cowboys, and cream McNabb...lol
:D :D :D

Hey Homer, Sorry I haven't been around much. I've been dating a very nice lady and we've been doing a lot of things together on my days off, plus I've just been busy in general. I was on vacation for 2-weeks in the middle part of August too.

Anyway....yes I am very excited for football to begin. I don't pay much attention to the pre-season other then the 3rd game which is where all the starters play into the 3rd quarter. I did watch the Pats 3rd Pre-season game and yes, they did look very good as you stated. I have very high hopes for them this year and they seem to be stacked with talent. We stole your boy Dante Stallworth and he should give Brady a nice deep-threat. Of course we've got Moss too, but nobody really knows for sure how healthy he is after getting injured in practice on August 1st. Personally, I think the Pats will do great even if Moss isnt' in there but of course having him in would be the iceing on the cake.

Good luck to your Eagles this year--we'll definitely talk more football once teh season begins. Btw, the big opener next Thursday night should be a good game. It's the Saints vs. the Colts. 8)

Wow....I don't know Maine.
Since this is not the first time they did this(according to reports),I think a forfeit is definately in order. Not just losing some draft picks.

Also soime heads should roll if the head coach knew about it.

Sources: NFL determines Pats broke league rules by spying on Jets...

The whole thing is crap in my book. Many teams do this stuff. Last year the Dolphins used Brady's audio signals against him (they had somehow stolen this info) and nothing happened to them. Mike Shannahan, coach of the Broncos has admitted to using lip-readers in the past to try and steal calls. This stuff goes on a lot but the media just leaves it alone for the most part. Plus, it irks me that they keep bringing up a supposed past incident when nothing was ever done. If they Pats broke the rules in the past then they should have been punished. They weren't so bringing it up now is a mute point. It has no relevance.

Anyway, regarding this incident, forfeit isn't going to happen, The Pats would have killed the Jets regardless and I don't think any calls they may have lifted even played a role. I mean really, did Randy Moss out run three defenders and catch a 50-yard bomb because of cheating? Nope.

Yeah, I know I'm just protecting my team here but if the NFL does rule that the Pats broke some rules then they should be punished. It wont come in the form of a forfeit however.

Gee...I guess the Eagle "Big Comeback" was a fluke!

I think Philly will say so long to McNabb,Reid or both at the end of the season.

They looked really bad.
We can usually handle the Jersey Giants pretty easily.

McNabb looked off in the distance somewhere(rumor has it Chicago..lol) & Reid had that deer in the hedlights stare all night long.

Well the Pats,Colts,Cowboys all look very good...I think our season is over already.

I have been watching the Phillies for the past 3 months...my Son talked me into it,and I ,to my surprise enjoyed it very much.

Now there is a team with heart...really turned their season around. :P
