Was there really another more important agenda they are trying to hide?

I have read this now and then on other sites, this just happens to be NewsMax.

I seem to recall a top administration person making several unannounced visits to Mexico.

The meetings were all conducted in Spanish and little or no reporting of it in the States.

America is finished.

Mexico and Canada are gone too.

In their place: One massive country, the North American Union (NAU), bordered by the Bering Sea to the north and Guatemala to the south, the Atlantic to the east and the Pacific to the west.

NAU citizens no longer spend dollars or salute Old Glory. They spend "ameros," and the flag that waves over its capitals shows the entire Western Hemisphere.

The national borders of the United States have been forever erased. While that scenario may sound far-fetched, critics of the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) warn that future could be here sooner than anyone realizes.

President Bush, Mexican President Vincente Fox, and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin informally agreed to set up the SPP in 2005.

Now I'm seriously starting to worry for you, Homer. Turn off the computer. Take a walk. Watch a rerun of Bonanza. Anything. Just. Stop. Reading. Those. Sites. :)

Why are you making fun of him? He has a right to be concerned. This group has been trying to pull this crap for awhile.

Again, this is NOT Europe Stefan. We don't want to be Europe. We like being our own independent country. Not a conglomerate of countries.

Now you're starting to obsess about my opinions, Beth. I made fun of it because it will never happen. Probably the only country that wants to form an alliance out of those three is Mexico. The other two have no interest in it. Canada doesn't want to turn into America and America is strong enough without a union.

As for the European Union, it's a question about working together in an alliance to match the strength of America, Russia and certain Asian countries. It's not about giving up independence (although those who dislike the union in my country and others will always argue that).

Maybe I was too derisive, Homer, on this one. I'm sorry.

It just seemed unlikely that North America would form a European Union of its own. I still think your fears are a big exaggerated. I think Beth is right. But my initial post was silly, and I'm sorry about that.

No need to apologize...everyone is entitled to their opinion,.

The misunderstand I think was compounded by my posting an article from NewsMax.
I know a lot of people think they stretch the truth, however,I have found many times that they are just repeating what is posted at more reliable sources.

The thing about this that upset me the most is that almost nobody, citizens,or Congress were aware of what was going on.

The SPP provision was slipped into the Senate Bill at the last minute.

And the administration official I refered to,conducting all those secret, closed door meeting in Mexico was our Secretary of Commerce.

Think his name is Guiterrez(sp).

It ,the meeting and after meeting questions and answer periods with the press were are conducted in Spanish.

So it was not really picked up and reported in the States.

Only a select few, including Bush and the VP were aware of the real purpose.
.

In order to promote free trade treaties,it is not necessary to eliminate borders and adopt a common currency.

The next step after that would have been to elect one governing body for the Union.

Americans would never agree to that...but if a treaty is signed or a law enacted without our knowledge, its too late, nothing could be done,we would be bound by law.
